Instagram is quality to capture that special moment in pictures and with the addition of stories it has without doubt given Snapchat a run for it’s money. For a business it’s a great platform to showcase what you are all about, after all a picture is worth a thousand words. A lot of businesses have been built on Instagram, but with how often social platforms change their algorithms I think it would be suicidal to put all your eggs in one basket. That said at this moment in time we are seeing most interaction and referrals to via Instagram. That doesn’t mean we’re going to stop trying to unlock what works and what doesn’t work on Twitter and Facebook etc…Give us a follow across all of our social platforms @B1G1HP

Social media has been a great way of getting awareness out there for B1G1HP and I recently said in a meeting that social media awareness is the digital equivalent of posting flyers through letter boxes - something I did myself recently. The time it took me to distribute a thousand flyers (which most probably got thrown in the bin) made me ask myself what am I doing? I asked myself that question because if you post relevant content to a relevant audience on social media the opportunity of that reach is massive and that is something that excites me. It’s all about opportunity.

Our followers on Instagram are just under 2.5k, but what we have found is that number is just vanity. We have a decent number of followers that interact with our content regularly, but there’s also a chunk of followers that don’t – which is cool. What I am trying to say is you might as well have ten followers that interact with your content than a thousand followers that don’t. We’ve got some exciting collaborations coming up with influencers on Instagram over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled.
